INFORMATION
Our church is Pentecostal/Charismatic, Word of Faith.
We are a Bible believing, Christ centered church. We believe the second chapter of Acts is for the church of today. Our teachings follow those of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Frederick KC Price Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center in South Central Los Angeles, Kenneth E Hagin Ministries and ministries that identify themselves with the Word of Faith teachings. Our doctrinal beliefs can be found at the bottom of this page. We are independent and not affiliated with any denomination. We work in coordination with the other ministries in Frankford, our Pastor Kenneth Delany is the president for his second term of the Frankford Ministerium which represents 34 churches and one synagogue in the Frankford area.

Our church is a financial partner of Kenneth Copeland Ministries since 1993.

WOMENS' TRANSITIONAL HOUSE FOR ABUSED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN
Philadelphia House of Prayer has founded Overington House Transitional Living Facility for homeless women with their children. Marie Delany has secured two million dollars in funding to make Overington House a reality. This facility will house 13 single parent families for a total house population of 45. Two of the bedrooms located on the first floor are designed for handicap usage either the mother or one or more of her children being handicapped. Overington House will allow a woman with her children to live in the facility for up to two years. Our mission is to encourage and support the return of women with their children to the normal mainstream society, with the emotional and spiritual strength, life skills and work skills, to enable them to support themselves and successfully parent their children.

LOW INCOME HOUSEING
Philadelphia House of Prayer is now working in partnership with Tri-County Community Development Corporation to find and rehabilitate houses for second stage living quarters for graduates of Overington House. The challenge is to find permanent good housing for women with two to three children with an average salary of $7.50 and hour. The recent welfare downsizing has intensified the problem and placed many additional single parent women with their children at risk of losing their living space.
